It is officially summer and that calls for quick and easy summer beauty hacks. I recently caught up with the talented ladies of The Luxxe Beauty Co. in Dallas for a fun glam session. For a decade now, Adrienne has created those gorgeous beach waves for me that last for days! Brittany had my skin, eyes and cheeks glowing for miles using a very light dose of makeup, which is key for summer! I sat down with these Dallas boss babes to get their take on creating that effortless summer look when you celebrate with friends and family this summer. Adrienne’s Tousled, Beachy Waves for Summer Hair
To create effortless, natural beach hair, Adrienne used the GHD platinum flat iron and alternated the direction of the waves throughout. She used the flat iron to straighten the ends as necessary to create a true beachy appearance.
Brittany’s Summer Glowing Makeup Look
Brittany believes summer makeup is about embracing the natural dew you get from the heat, so the goal is to not over apply foundation. Heavy foundation can move easily with heat. She chose a semi matte finish to avoid looking too shiny. Choose a pop of color to accentuate your facial features, especially the eyes, lips, and cheeks.

My Skincare Choices for Quick Summer Skin
I find the three most important steps to a quick summer skin routine to be Vitamin C, Moisturizer, and Sunscreen. There are a couple products such as Supergoop Daily Dose Vitamin C + SPF where you can create two steps in one! I typically splash my face with cold water, use a spray tonic mist or rosewater to prep my face. A few of my favorites are January Labs Restorative Tonic Mist (you can keep this with you all day to reactivate the ingredients you used in the morning), Chantecaille Pure Rosewater Spray, and Caudelie Beauty Elixir. Sometimes I use an essence to add hydration in before a long day in the sun. A gorgeous option is Royal Fern’s Phytoactive Skin Perfecting Essence. It very gently exfoliates, but you will see an immediate glow of hydration after application. Next, I apply Vitamin C, which acts as an antioxidant to protect your skin from free radical damage during the day. A great summer travel Vitamin C option is the Circcell Vitamin C Ampoules. The biodegradable capsules protect the potency and efficacy of the active ingredients within. Super easy to pop a few in your tote for a weekend at the beach! A great option for a summer daytime moisturizer is a gel-based, oil-free cream, such as Beauty Bio Zenbubble. I even add in a drop or two of facial tanning drops to create my own sunless glow. I also love Lacrème Beauté Eye Cream for a soft, soothing, brightening choice under concealer. Lastly, finish every skin routine with a good dose of broad spectrum SPF. Two of my favorites are Supergoop Glow Screen and City Serum. Glow Screen gives you an extra glow when wearing less makeup, and City Serum is a great light application under makeup.
